About This Vintage Martin Guitar

1937 Martin 0-17H All Mahogany #66544

Be sure to check out the other vintage guitars from the Ed Simpkins collection - 1948 Martin 000-28, 1951 Gibson J-45, and 1954 Martin D-18.

This guitar was purchased in 1979, and is now being offered to the public again. It was converted to standard with a new nut. Frets appear to be medium jumbo wire with many flat from fret dressing. Very nice replacement bridge. The guitar is diffucult to play and will need a neck reset to be enjoyed again.

The finish is clean and original with crazing and sweet patina. There is light wear throughout the back from playing with button shirts and jackets. Original bridge plate, tuners, and pickguard. There are no cracks. Original chirpboard case is good condition.

This little 0 size guitar was put through a sound test. It has a very big voice. Check out those scalloped braces! The wide nut is countered with the comfort of 12 fret single 0 body. It will be something special once the needed service is executed.
