2012 Martin D-28 Authentic 1931 Adirondack Madagascar Rosewood #1645309
This is a big cannon of a D-28. Martin made 185 of these models. This is the first generation of the model, it features Non-VTS Adirondack and a high gloss finish. The later models took a VTS Top and Vintage Gloss finish. I love the non-VTS examples, and the journey to open up is all natural.
The neck is straight, the action measured at the 12th fret is 5/64" on the Low E. It is in great condition. It has been played and shows signs of having a good time. There are few sporadic small dings, pick marks on the pickguard, and a few shirt button marks in the finish. The saddle was changed out, and it looks like there is a taller saddle there if you want to raise the action!
If you can wrestle the 1 7/8" Nut, you are going to have a good time!
